Learn how to invert, balance, and even dance on your hands in our newest handbalancing class! Instructor Kevin Scott Cannon will break down the basic, no-frills, hollow-body handstand. In this two-hour class, we will play with how weight adjustments change your body’s position as well as the muscles you use, learn how to use the wall or partner as an assist, and touch on conditioning drills and counter-stretches. Strength in flexibility will be developed as bodies become straight, contorted, bent, angled, and curved. Students will learn how to balance on floor, parallettes, canes, chairs, and even on other people. Flexibility and contortion classes in conjunction are highly encouraged, but this class is open to all levels. Bring your questions, your difficulties, your excitement, and get ready to dance with your hands.
