I absolutely love taking classes here! The teachers are great, friendly, patient, and amazing….Taking aerial has been the best workout that I’ve found, and I have a background in dance, Pilates, and martial arts. I’ve also done some rock climbing and pole dancing too, and by far, aerial really kicks my butt! I find it to be a fun way to exercise. All the other students in class are really friendly and supportive of each other. I was a little nervous my first class because I was the only beginner, but after a few turns I felt really comfortable because the teacher’s instructions were clear and helpful, and the other students kept cheering me on!
I will be sixty in six weeks and this is something I’ve wanted to try for a long time. I was afraid it would be too much since I’m only in fair shape and never go to a gym. But I decided I’d never know unless I gave it a try. It was amazing. Five people in the class and everyone could do most of the class. I’ll definitely be sore for a few days, but it was FUN!
Your first class will be your hardest – simply because your body is not used to doing moves like this (unless you’ve got prior climbing experience). But, just within weeks or even days…you’ll be doing all kinds of tricks/moves/transitions that were once nearly impossible for you….This class is very empowering…You will feel strong, confident and will be eager to show your friends photos/videos of all the tricks you can do!
I love the open level format. As a brand-new student, I was able to see the advanced students do more complex tricks, which allowed me to understand what I was working up to, and also once I got to that level of proficiency, I felt less intimidated since I had seen those moves so many times.
Jessica is a fabulous teacher; her encouragement and enthusiasm helped me overcome my weak core muscles and lack of coordination. Taking the aerial classes have inspired me to diet and exercise regularly to lose weight and improve my fitness level. My coordination and balance are much better now. The continuous strengthening of my core muscles have also helped me become a much better rock climber. In fact, I highly recommend the aerial classes for any rock climbers; it’s better than yoga!
Would just like to say that I’m enjoying your stilts dancing class very much, and really appreciate that you give us so much more than just your basic walking directions and upper body movements.
